At about 15 miles long, Loch Tay in Higland Perthshire is one of Scotland’s largest & deepest lochs. It is known for the discovery of over 20 submerged Crannogs, man-made islands inhabited during the Iron Age. One of these has been reconstructed at the Scottish Crannog Centre near Kenmore.
